Charity Donations

So many lovely people have donated books to us over the last few weeks, that we’ve just worked out that we’ve donated over £300 to charity so far this year.  For every box of books donated to us, we make a donation to charity.  Our nominated charity is Parkinson’s UK but sometimes people have a favourite charity that they would like us to support instead.  So we’ve also made donations to East Anglia Air Ambulance and the Antony Nolan Trust in recent weeks.

A special mention to the Perse Prep in Cambridge who were having a clear out and update of their library at the end of term and who donated around 20 boxes of books that we are now re-homing.

And another special mention for an eagle-eyed local resident who spotted a large number of books out for a skip.  He rescued them and donated them to us.  That’s a lot of books saved from landfill.
